voilà une tres bonne compil' sortie en 2003.
hidden beach c'est aussi le label de jill scott,et cette compilation regroupe de nombreux talents nu soul et hiphop.souvent ce sont des gens qui percent pas beaucoup ou aussi des choristes de chanteurs.......
par exemple ya myron sur "free"qui lui a deja sorti deux albums,c'est tres bon,trek life dont le flow des fois me fait penser à q tip,cy young que j'ai aussi écouté sur jazzyjeff the magnificient,carmen,j.r qu'on retrouve aussi à la fin sur un sublime on avec le saxophoniste mike phillips,jamal qui déchire en tant que mc et pareil au chant,honore avec trek life sur "wonderfull" un bon son que jkiff et que j'écoute meme en ce moment,rosa gaines je ne suis pas sur mais j'ai entendu dire qu'elle a fait des coeurs pour prince,kipper jones avec son "better" tres entrainant dont le début du beat m'a étrangement rappellé celui de "feel like making love"signé d'angelo,on retrouve aussi deux magnifiques voix united soul sur "he don't",puis celle de quinn avec" i ain't the one"...meme si il n' y a pas mal de sons hiphop moi je pense que les plus ravis seront plutot les fans de nu soul.
je ne sais pas si c'est sortit en france je l'ai acheté en import et j'en suis tres satisfait,beaucoup de talents!

c'est une chanteuse pour qui j'ai beaucoup d'admiration,car j'aime bien sa voix et sa façon de faire sa soul façon accompagné guitare ben wé surtout que l'album s'appelle "acoustic soul" le 1er album la ,1ere fois que je l'ai eu je l'ai beaucoup écouté(mais je l'ai perdu : ( )et le meilleur que j'ai retenu c'est "video" le titre avc le lequel je l'ai découverte,"brown skin" qui est ma préférée,je retien toujours en tete aussi "back to the middle" où la miss raconte les histoires de differentes personnes,on remarque aussi une superbe interlude où elle rend hommage à des grands noms de la musique afro americaine tel que stevie wonder,jimi hendrix,charlie parker...
"always on my mind","i see the god in you","simple"enfin,ce sont surtout les derniers morceaux de l'album qui m'ont charmé c'est ce qui s'appelle finir en beauté.j'ai pas écouté le deuxieme album " voyage to india" mais je sais deja qu'il ya l'excellent "little things",pour le reste je vais me le prendre...

des sons nu soul mélangé au style électro c'est trop yess!
j'ai découvert le chanteur avec "don't you forget it"un excellent titre du monsieur il m'a fait kiffer ça me rappelle beaucoup quand j'étais en terminale lol,en tout cas l'album est comme j'aime rien que le début avec le "beautiful life" something in you eyes got me hypnotize ...ouai c'est le kiff vous l'aurez deviné."something to see" plutot acoustic m'a fait accrocher aussi c'est cool de mettre ça dans les oreilles au retour des cours dans les transports,"lonely" qui bouge un peu plus mais qui reste dans le rythme cool et le titre est très nu soul dans la façon de chanter,"ths love" celui là m'a beaucoup fait penser à "don't change" de musiq franchement c'est vrai,dans celui-là glenn nous fait une vraie démonstration de ce qu'il est capable vocalement c'est un slow tres agreable à écouter.
j'ai aussi kiffé "one more day"qui bouge + avec des basses plutot électro et les percu plus bruts que dans les titres précédents dans l'album,j'ai été également tres satisfait par "dreams" avec là contrairement à "one more day" sonne moins électro avec une basse normale et les orgues qui eux aussi donnent leur charm à ce son,j'aime bien aussi le passage juste apres le "dreaaams..."quand il fait "i just close my eyes. ans dreams bout the time we had together..."ah ouais ça c'est du sacré bon son...
puis vient apres "never too late","sorry" un titre qui par moi s'est tres bien fait remarqué,"too far aussi" voilà je vous ai cité mes préférées et j'espere que ça va vous encourager à écouter l'album "world inside my window"....

chanson d'anthologie écrite par Jill Scott et chanté par erykah badu qui assure le refrain qui laisse les couplet au flow constructif de black thought le rappeur orchestré par son groupe the roots,un des rares groupes de hiphop à faire leurs sons avec des instrus live,d'ailleurs je ne sais meme pas si on peut appeller ce qu'ils font du hiphop,mais j'adore.
C'est un encore de ces groupes de musiciens ou de chanteurs,ou de rappeurs,afro-americains qui revendiquent leurs origines africaines,car ils pensent que beaucoups d'entre eux devraient faire une mise en conscience de leurs origines,et ils s'inspirent pour leur musique pour beaucoup de la soul ancienne élément tres important pour eux,notamment marvin gaye,donny hathaway,minnie ripperton,bobby caldwell,....
donc ils évitent beaucoup de clichés rnb qu'on voit souvent dans les médias.
pour en revenir à The Roots,moi je n'ai qu'un seul album d'eux c'est iladelph halftime,du tres bon niveau,moi qui ne suis pas specialement fan de hiphop je vous conseile cet album,mais you got me ne fait pas partie de cet album...
